I am The Grit Doctor.

I am a ruthless, no-nonsense motivator.

I will bully you into submission, then inspire you to great heights.

I will whisper in your ear ‘YOU FAT B!TCH’ as you contemplate that extra roast potato.

I am the voice you need to listen to and obey.

The voice of The Grit Doctor is what you’ve been missing in your life.

You just didn’t know it until now.

It’s January. You ate and drank too much over Christmas. It’s cold and wet outside. It’s dark when you leave the house and dark when you get home. You’ve most likely got no money, you’re having no fun and you’re generally feeling just a little bit rubbish. To say you need some motivation is an understatement.

The Grit Doctor may be mean but she understands the January blues. So to help runners everywhere channel their inner grit, she’ll be providing an 8-week step-by-step video programme starting today (Friday). Just in time for the weekend when even the busiest amongst us can make just a few extra minutes to go for that run.

    Needing some advise! Have a half marathon on 23 rd Sept and have a small problem with having to stop during a run for a number 2 ! However the race is in the new forest and no loos, I am a bit concerned about what is going to happen this is an on going problem suggestions welcome lol !

      caffeine the morning of a race should ensure you go beforehand but failing that maybe just as a one off take some immodium (but don’t make a habit of this)…
