What’s been happening in your world?

There have been some amazing and inspiring comments over on the RFBR Facebook page this week, and it sounds like you’re all really starting to get to grips with the programme. Whether you’re striding the streets, running full pelt or still moving at a gentler jog at this stage, please keep up the good work. You’re doing so well.

Week Five is all about sticking with the programme. No expensive outfits, high tech music systems or fancy water bottles to distract you. Not that you can’t have them, by all means do. Just don’t let them distract you from the task at hand. (Running, that is, you didn’t forget right?).

So here’s the video for Week 5 in the programme. Do you five runs, take your rest days, and have a wonderful weekend.

    I found your book extremely insipiring although I had started running/jogging about 6 months ago but ended up with a pulverised calf muscle. I then got hold of the ASICS training site and although this was ok it wanted me to jump from slow to comfortable to impossible!!! As you say it only takes an hour a day to keep mrs fatty at bay!!!

    I am actually doing most of my running on a treadmill is this okay I wonder, I do put in a random hill mode so I am not running on the flat :))

      yes, not a problem to run on the treadmill, but I do recommend outdoor running – better for the soul!

    I have to admit I have looked up the nearest running shop to me as I am dreaming of some nice new running shoes… The shop is two hours away though! I live in the middle of nowhere, but I don’t mind — you should see the views on my circuit.

    So I’ll leave it for a while and concentrate on carrying on with the task in hand…big rewards later once I am back in the size 12s!!

    The book got delivered this morning – I’m 3/4 through it. I would be finished if it weren’t for these pesky children needing dinner, bath and bedtime stories.

    I have found it extremely inspiring and have just dug out my old trainers from the back of the under-stair cupboard, with the intent to go for a walk/slow jog at 6.30am.

    Can’t wait to find my inner skinny bitch! She’s in there somewhere…..
