The Fifth day of Gritmas

24 Dec

For the love of God, keep up your running fellow fat bitches. During the festive period we need those runs more than at any other time of the year. Absolutely essential to get some time away from husbands, children and all family members getting under our toes and from whom there is no legitimate escape route. Plus, regular runs help offset the low level hangover and higher level overhang – courtesy of the Panettone bread and butter pudding perhaps – that threaten to spoil things.

A daily 3 miler in the woods is not only keeping me sane, but massively enhancing my pleasure levels. I can’t quite believe how much I am enjoying my first Christmas in our own home. When not blissed out from a run, I am tucking into all those Christmas treats without guilt, and getting stuff done quite *effortlessly*. I use that word in the Grit Doctor sense.

Loving the blog and planning my run for later. Went for one directly before eating vast quantities of suckling pig on Sunday. It tasted doubly good as I was extra hungry. Hopefully this one will offset Christmas cake – yum!

I’m planning a run for Christmas morning, to get out of the way of everyone faffing, that’s for sure.
